An Ode to Stranger3 min read
It’s been long since I have actually taken myself seriously in front of a paper and pen. And all that cheekiest conversations that I never had with you and the letters never send are impeccably valid now. I know that I am a stranger but regard me as loyal a friend, and you will feel me loyal.
I am merely introducing 4 letters ASaP (Action Space Process) and then I am going to disappear asap.
ActionSchool is never a place where they spoon feed you knowledge. The stage is always yours and they, mere audience. They guide you not to acquire but how to acquire knowledge. I understand that you believe school either kills or creates art. But let me tell you school does neither. It is a place were you recognize your defects, merits and demerits so that you start working to improve yourself. Spineless are those who feel discouraged and depressed by the failures.
The general misconception is that life shares you with immense knowledge and enlightenment and you can sit on a beach looking at the sky pondering on the never ending mysteries of stargaze. The fact is that they neither share wisdom nor show any doors or doorways. They merely show how to find the doors that might lead to something of your interest. It is the quest of interest to yourself and to your life that would steer into something. The best education is something that gives you discomfit which pushes you in search of you and your art. Even the system knows you don’t fit there but unless and until you take the action nothing moves the wheel. Having said of action I have come across another idea- wisdom and virtue.
Nature does not give a man virtue, the process of becoming a good man is an art.
Time and space are the nutrients of wisdom. Wisdom is not just knowledge, it is experience, failure, mistakes, discomfit and lastly success. You evolve, fantasize, hope, criticize, shed emotions , cry, smile; such capricious life makes art so does a good soul.
Uncertainty of future makes present fine.
Your experiences always belongs to you. Enjoy the process and not the end goal. The ultimate aim is to live devoid of necessity. It is to conquer the realm of necessity which redeems you from all those materialistic earthly distractions. What matters is not your capability to live without the material, but your capability to live unaltered and unaffected when you lose those that matters. The cultivation of such mentality is the core of stoic philosophy. You can live with luxury or without it, the latter is not because you hate luxe life rather a non-neccesity for you (refer tanha or तृष्णा).
Until we have begun to go without them, we fail to realize how unnecessary many things are. We’ve been using them not because we needed them but because we had them
Letters from a stoic
It is therefore highly recommended that you read Letters from a Stoic by Seneca. The book Letters from a Stoic by Seneca teaches self-control and fortitude. If you really want to escape the things that harass you, what you’re needing is not to be in a different place but to be a different person. Be a different person. Find and meet me as a stranger.
Let me hurl this letter into the windy strange road and let that wind reach you. Yours Sincerely

Your letter has indeed flown to my doorsteps, comrade.
I am intrigued to know more about the book and bit more into stoicism, of which I am a huge follower.
keep up the good work brother.
Thanks dear. Let us dig deep brother
you offered a lot to think about I have always said that patience is a virtue but not the only one. I believe becoming a good person is a skill and one that we should demonstrate to all we meet
For sure, The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. And our strive should always be to evolve our thoughts; be it rational or irrational.
This is such a great letter! I will have to check out the book for sure.
Please do; read the book and share your thoughts here.
Every person is different, every person has a different path in life. Some might have it easy, some might work very hard for their dreams. Some might be able to sit on the beach and stargaze, some might never get this chance.
Absolutely, that is life. But is one ready to be devoured by one’s karma?. That is the question.
I appreciate you sharing this with all of us during hard times. We all have different life paths but we’re all so similar as well.
This letter got me thinking. So many things have been taken away from me and I am realizing that they are unnecessary.
Now you made me go into deep thoughts. Patience is definitely a virtue. Not everyone has the capacity to be a person of good.
Strangers do not stay strangers for long when they journey down the same path.
I will have to check out the book. It seems really interesting and I am always looking for something new to read.
I love the stoics! Am ordering this book tonight, can’t wait to dive into it.

Such a beautiful message here.. And I agree to all these. And it’s true indeed. To be a good man is a form of art.
true! every circumstance requires a different version of ourselves. i love the depth of this message. <3
THis was a truly interesting read. I don’t believe I’ve ever read anything similar to it. Not sure if these are your words or an insert from the book. Either, they are beautifully written.
Keeping Up With Candy
Haha, i own no words . Everything i write is just what is spoken, read or learned.

Your last point, ‘process’ has pricked my curiosity because it sounds a bit like self-actualisation. It will be awesome when we get to that stage of constantly striving to become a better person through the acquisition of material gain only to realise that living without those things is what we truly treasure in the very end.
Everyone’s life is different. But ur post is going to stay in my head for a long time.
Beautifully written! It has given me alot to think about…thank you for this! 🚢👓🍕
You really have played well with the words and the positivity it brings along with it. It is so beautifully written touching my heart.

I like your perspective. We are teaching more than what school provides to our children. We are teaching the art of being a good person.
Nature does not give a man virtue, the process of becoming a good man is an art-
And that art is the search of every person… To be a better me …
Nothing more to add to that.
You are so right that wisdom encompasses not just knowledge, but our experience and mistakes! You can be knowledgeable, but not wise!
You are doing it so right. we need to turn to each other and feel each other closer by our heart not bodies
This letter put me in deep thoughts. I have always thought that achieving my goals is harder for me while others had it very easily. Maybe it’s how it is meant to be and maybe it is not easy for them as it seems to be.
Achieving goal in itself is subjective. Furthermore, it will always be harder when “achieving my goals” becomes “achieving their goals”.
Love that quote by Seneca. I think many of us have been feeling this shift of energy a long time, the current events are bringing it to the awareness of others. So many times I’ve heard people say they will go ‘stir crazy” in isolation. When in reality we all need to know ourselves better. Perhaps, if people had more self awareness the World wouldn’t be in the state it’s in now.
“Wisdom is not just knowledge, it is experience, failure, mistakes, discomfit and lastly success” – this line really resonated with me. I am a huge believer in the power of failure and its importance in helping us grow.

Crickette, The Things I Have to Say
We are all riding the same boat but we are all going through different things and our capacity to live through this is dependent on your perspective and resilience.
This is a very intriguing letter. I think with the current climate that quote is something people are only just starting to realise.
